Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings said the man had life-threatening injuries after he was shot in Orlando Monday, and he was undergoing surgery at a local hospital. The sheriff didn't immediately identify the man, though media reports named him as year-old Armando Montalvo. Demings says the deputy had no choice but to shoot the man, who he believed had a knife outside the WWE Performance Center in Orlando and allegedly charged the officer. It's a legitimate term that gets misused by many on this forum. It is basically the belief that science is infallible, that all truths require validation from a scientific authority, and that science is capable of discovering all truths. I've seen some posters commit it, and other posters like to frequently accuse people of committing it.
